This is a national study.  An independent company has been hired to conduct the research.
We want to do everything we can to advocate for the resources, time, and supports you need to be successful.  But we need to hear from you to be able to do that.  Please take the time to help us be an effective voice for you on the critical issues that impact you, your teacher colleagues, your profession, and your students

Aloha Member,

You may have noticed a few e-mails in your in box regarding some critically important research that HSTA is engaged in to better inform us about member attitudes toward Common Core implementation and the role of testing in public education.

You will receive e-mail requests to participate in both focus groups and survey research from a company called Stratalys and another from Luce Research (two independent vendors hired to conduct the focus group and survey research.) These companies are required to protect your individual confidentiality. Your feedback will be completely anonymous.

I am urging you to please take the time to respond to the requests. If you haven’t seen the e-mails, please check your Spam or Junk Mail filters. You can also click on this link to sign up for the focus groups on Thursday, February 6, 2014 - 9:00pm Eastern Time at: http://sss.stratalys.com/inquirer/s14018/?id=NEA&st=X&  If y.ou have already signed up, thank you. You do not have to register again. Please also be on the look-out for the survey link coming shortly.

We want to do everything we can to advocate for the resources, time, and supports you need to be successful.  But we need to hear from you to be able to do that.  Please take the time to help us be an effective voice for you on the critical issues that impact you, your teacher colleagues, your profession, and your students.

Mahalo,
Wil Okabe
President
