ALU LIKE, Inc. is offering scholarships for DOE/public charter schoolteachers seeking National Board Certification through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in the 2013-2014-candidate cycle. ALU LIKE, Inc. understands that by helping teachers reach their goals it will ultimately help students become successful lifelong learners.
The ideal applicant meets one or more of the following (1) a Native Hawaiian educator and/or (2) teaching in a school with a high percentage of Native Hawaiian students and/or (3) has completed candidate preparation coursework, such as Jump Start or Take One! Additionally, ALU LIKE, Inc. is seeking applicants that plan to teach in a DOE/public charter school for at least a year after completing their National Board Certification.
Applications will be available online at www.alulike.org beginning 9/9/2013 and due by 10/4/2013. Hand-delivery of applications to the main office will be accepted between 8 am- 4:30 pm or via mail post marked no later than 10/4/2013. E-mail or faxed copies will not be accepted.
