The weather in Orlando is expected to be hot and humid with temperatures between 90 and 100 degrees, and lows between 75 and 80. Late afternoon showers are common during this time of the year.

Please don’t forget to pack your telephone charger, umbrella, medication(s), glasses, walking shoes, and a sweater or light jacket because the Convention Center can be cool. The temperature inside the Convention Center will probably be around 70-75 degrees, but that 70 will likely feel like 60 if you are sitting for long periods of time, coming in from outside, or wearing clothes that keep you comfortable when it is 90-100 degrees outside.
Please plan to pack clothes that are varied and lightweight, and that can be layered effectively for maximum warmth in the building. Allow yourself the option of closed shoes and/or socks, as well as something to cover your arms and shoulders. For some, fingerless gloves, sweaters, and shawls (and maybe hoodies) might even make sense.

The Double Tree uses City One Express taxi (407) 509-6488. City One offers a complimentary grocery store stop.
Taxi fare to/from Orlando’s airport is about $55 plus tip depending on traffic. When feasible, share a taxi with colleagues to save or use a discounted shuttle service.
Allow 30 minutes or more travel time and allow additional travel time on July 7th or whenever you return as security lines can be very long and slow-moving with so many strollers, car seats that have to be inspected by the TSA agents.
