After days of meetings, some Hawaii delegates joined with members from across the national at the annual NEA RA APIC dinner held this year at the Ichiban Buffet. This year’s affair hosted a record number of attendees. American Indian, Alaska natives, African American, Chinese, Japanese, and Pacific Islander ethnic groups were among those represented.

*The 2014 National Education Association Asian and Pacific Islander Caucus Issues Conference was held in Hawaii March 19 - 22, 2014.
*Hawaii teachers were among the NEA leaders who had a chance to hear firsthand from members of the Asian Pacific Islander community about education issues that directly affect them.
